Show WIFE SLAYS HUSBAND. Chicago Broker Killed In Denver by Woman Who Had Applied for Divorce. Denver. Colo. Mrs. Gertrude Q. Patterson ia held In the city Jail Incommunicado, In-communicado, charged with murdering murder-ing her husband, Charles A. Patterson, Patter-son, formerly a broker of Chicago, here Monday by shooting. n his wife came to Denver seven months ago for the benefit of his health. They rented a bungalow and lived together up to three months ago, when, owing to his constantly failing health, Patterson Patter-son became a patient of the Phlpps sanitarium. His wife had visited him frequently at the hospital and went there at 10 o'clock Monday, ostensibly os-tensibly to pay him a visit, although a suit for divorce, brought by her September 1, In which she charges her husband with extreme cruelty, Is pending in the courts here. A quarrel arose between them, which waa followed by four shots, two of which entered Patterson's body, both passing through the lungs. Mrs. Patterson screamed and rushed Into a nearby residence, pursud by a gardener who had overheard the quarrel and saw the woman fire the ' last three shots. Mysterious Killing In Wyoming. Cheyenne, Wyo Mts. Edna Ulch-ards Ulch-ards Jenkins, youngest daughter o! former Governor W. A. Richards of Wyoming, and her husband, Thomaa Jenkins, assistant manager of i-.e Richards ranch near Redhank Wyo, were found dead Sunday with bullet holes through their bodies. Jenkins' Jen-kins' body was found In bed in the ranch house, while Mrs. Jenkins wss under a tree In the yard.
