Show Williams celebrate 65th Wedding r - ? t ) " it J' 1 MR, AND MRS. NOEL B. WILLIAMS visiting and talking about old times also recalling many meories of the past. Everyone was happy to have some new members of the family present so that they could get acquainted with them. One son, Foch, was not present. He had surprised his father and mother by spending three days with them on the Father's Day ' weekend. i August the fourth was a very special day for Mr. and Mrs. Noel B. Williams of Kanarraville and their family. Twenty six members of their family were present to help them celebrate their sixty-fifth wedding anniversary. an-niversary. Noel B. Williams and Ahlena Parker were married in Parowan, Utah on August 4, 1913 and later this marriage was solemnized solem-nized in the St. George temple. They have spent most of their lives in Kanarraville but did live for a short time in Cedar City while Noel worked on the building of the El Escalante Hotel as a carpenter. The family also lived in Boulder City, Nevada when Mr. Williams worked on the construction of the Hoover Darn. When the Zion Tunnel was being reinforced with concrete, he also worked on that project. Mrs. Williams has been avery faithful church worker and has held many teaching, positions in many of the church organizations as well as being the Primary president for many years. She has been a Relief Society Visiting Teacher most of her life. She could always be depended on when there was a quilt to be made. Mr. Williams has also been an active church worker thus filling many positions in the ward. Noel and Ahlena have seven living sons and daughters. A grown son, Carter B. Williams died in 1950. Gordon Williams and Dorothy Stucki.Iive in Cedar City; Stanley lives in Kanarraville; Foch lives in Caramel, Calif, Douglas and Darlene Wilkerson live in Bountiful and Salt Lake City; and Bryce resides in Portland, Oregon. There are twenty-one grandchildren and nineteen great gran-children gran-children in the Williams' family. I The fifth day of August J was the day the family spent at the Cedar Canyon Park |
