Show July 4 Garden Reception Honors Newly Weds, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Messurvey A garden reception at the home of the bride's parents honored newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Messurvey, following fol-lowing their wedding Thursday Thurs-day evening, July 4. Prior to their marriage that evening the bride was Miss Penny Matheson, daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Bruce Matheson of Parowan, and the bridegroom was was a son of Mildred C. Jones of Salt Lake City. The single ring nuptial ceremony cer-emony was performed by Bishop Matheson in the presence pres-ence of immediate members of both families. For the reception the bride wore a gown of white brocade satin with empire waist line, long tapered sleeves, pleated back to form a train, and silver sil-ver rhinestone neck trim. Her veil was of shoulder length and her bouquet was white mums and yellow roses. In the receiving line were parents of the bride, the moth er of the bridegroom, his grandmother, Mrs. Stella Ed-dards Ed-dards and his brother, Farell Mersurvey. Stuart Matheson, brother of the bride, greeted the guests. Presiding at the guest reg-ister reg-ister was Claudia Decker, and in charge of the gift table were Mr. and Mrs. Marldwe Imlay and Mr. and Mrs. Frank ' Bayles. In charge of refresh ments were Mr. and Mrs. Jack ' Matheson, Mr. and Mrs. Bob ' Matheson and Mr. and Mrs. ; Gay Bayles. Serving were Ma-theson Ma-theson cousins, Lynda, Kathy ' and Debra Matheson, DeAnna Imlay and Bonnie Naegle.. Following a honeymoon trip to Yellowstane Park, the newlyweds will reside in Salt Lake City. |
