Show Maiia Rocio Tones 1 """"1 I S LB ILwMBi HIM MARIA ROCIO TORRES Morris Wayne Wood, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood of Cedar City, has chosen Maria Rocio Torres to be his bride in rites slated for the latter part of June. Plans are being made for a wedding in the St. George LDS Temple. The bride elect is the daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Landauro of Lima Peru. Miss Torres graduated from the Institute Cultural Peruano Norteamerican and is now a senior student at the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing where she will graduate on June 2. She attended Oklahoma Okla-homa City University and went to Oklahoma as a result of a scholarship she received in Peru. Mr. Wood graduated from Cedar High School and attended attend-ed CSU for 2V2 years. He belonged be-longed to the O.C.S. Utah National Na-tional Guard and was commissioned com-missioned a 2nd Lt. in June 1967. At the present time he is stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma Ok-lahoma for Field Artillery Officers Training. The prospective bridegroom was active in music circles at CSU where he was a member of the popular singing group "2 by 2's" and sang one of the leads in the opera "Carmen." "Car-men." He was a member of the CSU A Capella Choir and CSU Band. He was also a member of the Delta Phi fraternity. fra-ternity. Mr. Wood has fulfilled a mission for the LDS Church in Scotland. |
