He was born here July 27, 1902, a son of James Albert and Hetlie Ann Page Benson. He attended local schools a nil worked with livestock live-stock for several years prior to moving to Wyoming where one of his brothers lived. I lie married Thelma Shum- way, Sept. 22, 1931 at Red Lodge, Mont, and their marriage mar-riage was later solemnied in the LDS Temple. They moved hack 1o Utah, moving to Orem where he was engaged as : carpenter. He served a.) president of the Carpenter's federal Credit Union. Un-ion. Surviving are his widow; sons Robert Richie, Salt Lake; Ronald Ron-ald Alvin and Richie Eric, Orem, and a daughter Reba Rose Walker, also Orem; eight grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Taylor, Parowan. Funeral services were held Tuesday noon in the Orem 16th Ward LDS chapel, and burial was in the Orem Ceme-tery. Ceme-tery. I Mrs. Taylor traveled to her brother's family and others oth-ers who traveled to that place for the funeral services on Tuesday included Clifton Tay-low, Tay-low, Mr. and Mrs. Veil Taylor-Mrs. Taylor-Mrs. Constance Halterman and daughter, Mary Jane; Mrs. Shirley Mercer and Mrs, Emily Wood. Others from this area were Mr. and Mrs. Alma Bet-t Bet-t ridge, Hurricane, Mrs. Edith Smith of Pintura and Gaylord Whitney, Cedar City. Having parts on the funeral service program from the family fam-ily were Veil Taylor who sang a vocal solo, "Goin' Home" accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Joy Orton; Eugene M.
