Show Funeral Services Conducted For David W. Gibson Funeral services were held at the Cedar Fourth Ward May 29, for David W. Gibson, who died on Sunday, May 25 of a heart attack. Preliminary music was furnished fur-nished by Mrs. Margaret Webster. Web-ster. Invocation was given by Charles R. Hunter, benediction was by Edward Parry and the dedication of the grave was by Fernleigh Gardner. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the service was by Murl II. Gib son. Speakers at the services, which was attended by all 11 surviving children of Mr. Gibson, and his brother and sister, Samuel C. Dell and Nellie Pritchard, both of Parowan, Included Leo Larson, Harold Snow, president of the St. George temple, and remarks by Bishop LaNoir Jones, who conducted con-ducted the services. "Whispering Hope," was sung by Alene G. Chamberlain anil Carole Gibson, accompanied by Mrs. Idona Heston. Nadine Tait Johnson rendered a vwal solo, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine." "Beyond the Sunset," was sung by a duet composed of El-win El-win F. Armstrong and George D. Grimshaw, accompanied by Franklin Jones and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Wood sang "In The Garden." Gar-den." Mrs. Mattie II. Booth gave a history of Mr. Gibson at the services. ser-vices. Children of the deceased traveled trav-eled from Florida, Missouri, California, Cal-ifornia, Oregon, Idaho and all parts of Utah to be in attendance attend-ance at the services. |
