Show '-J Obituaries Oscnr Jensen Oscar Jensen, 84, died March 20. 1977 at Richfield. He was born January 4, 1893 In Springville to Jens Ira and Inger Annie Christensen Jensen. He married Erma Rose Jorgensen, April 11, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Aug, 28, 1937. He married Olive Kate Browning Jan.. 10, 1941 in the Manti LDS Temple. She died in 1960. He worked in the Utah Copper Company in Magna for many years. He then moved to Roosevelt where he worked at farming and the local sawmill. He was active in the LDS Church and served as counselor of two separate bishoprics. For the past two years he has been living with his two daughters until three weeks ago when he was moved to a Richfield care center. Survivors include sons and daughters; James, Alma and Lynn, Salt Lake City; Elden, Moses Lake, Wash.; Mrs. Noble (Mildred) Thomas, Silver City, N.M. and Mrs. Don (Martha) Henrie, Panguitch; 23 grandchildren; 22 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Salt Lake Ninth Ward at 416 South 5 East. Burial will be in the Roosevelt Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Mortuary. Spencer offered the Invocation. Speakers were Lynn Gates, Berge Heaps and Bishop Marsh, Music Included selection by a vocal trio; vocal solo, Delane Griffin and selection by the ward Singing Mothers. Lester Spencer offered the benediction. Burial was in the Escalante Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Cal G. Porter offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Albert Carlton, Dee Moosman, Elmer Porter, DeRell Porter, Clayne Coleman and Darvl Coleman. Honorary pallbearers were Eddie Mitchell, Claron Griffin, Whitey Porter and Gail Bailey. |
