"Rummage Sale" Saturday, Oct. 25, Junior Choir rehearsal Saturday, 3:30. Sunday school is at 9:30. Rummage Sale. The women of the Altar society of the cathedral will have a "rummage sale" on Saturday, Oct. 25. at 9 o'clock in the morning at the old St. Mark's sehoolhouse, 115 East First South. Mrs. Slade, the president of the society, showed good judgment in selecting this site, because the poor of the city are accustomed to coming to St. Mark's for other sales of the- same kind, and the place is centrally located besides. Of course everyone in the Catholic parishes par-ishes know by now what is meant by a "rummage sale." People contributing contribut-ing to such ehj undertaking are expected ex-pected to send all old clothes (and new ones if they wish, as Father Ryan said last Sunday), old hats, old shoes, old stockings, cravats (gentlemen take no nce;, oia coais, oia pants (Deg pardon, trousers), old shirts, old vests, underwear, under-wear, gloves, kitchen utensils, pictures, all kinds of children's clothes- in short, everything that can possibly be sold. Mrs. Slade and her able assistants will take everything but "wild animals." from what they say. The donations will be called for, but if convenient those donating may bring the things direct to the hall. Leaving all levity out of the matteifl "rummage sales" are of untold heln tJ the poor of a large city. Many good i articles of clothing can be profitably used by the poor, particularly during the winter months. The sale will be in charge of Mrs. C. C. Slade, and she will give a list of her assistants and the hours when they will relieve each other during the sale, for The Inter-mountain Inter-mountain Catholic next week. Over $200 was netted at the last sale held last winter. Remember the date, Saturday, Sat-urday, Oct. 25. All donations should be on the tables Friday night by 5 o'clock.
