Show CONFESSION IS ONE JIF GUILT Germany's Naval Policy Brought Fatal Opposition I to the Fatherland. I LONDON, Nov. 30. (British Wireless Service) Fuller reports of the statement state-ment published by Dr. von Bethmann-Hollweg, Bethmann-Hollweg, the former imperial German chancellor, In the North German Gazette, Ga-zette, shows that, although he attempts various arguments in excuse for his share in Gorman guilt for the war, he makes the following confession: "But, above all, we must confess that by our deficiencies of national character charac-ter and by the sins of our general behavior be-havior we have contributed to the warlike war-like tension which filled the air for the last few years. Words which might be taken as provocation were repeatedly uttered. The Pan -German activities at home and abroad have done us the greatest harm, but above all our naval policy brought us the most fatal opposition." |
