Nov. 20 Viscount Kato, former minister of foreign affairs, af-fairs, will head the Japanese delegation delega-tion to the peace conference at Ver-tsailles, Ver-tsailles, according to unofficial advices ! reaching Washington today from Ja-' Ja-' .an. Vice-Admiral Isam Takeshita, vice-chief vice-chief of tho Japanese general naval staff, will be a member of the delegation. dele-gation. He will be accompanied by his aide, Captain Kichihuro Nomura, who was educated in Japan and in Germany and Austria. Tho military representatives for Ja-Ipan Ja-Ipan will be Major GeneraUNara of the Japanese general army staff. Press dispatches from Tokio several days ago said that Marquis Klnmochi, former premier, would head th Japanese Japa-nese representatives at the conference. Vice-Admiral Takeshita, and Captain Cap-tain Nomura are well known in Washington, Wash-ington, the vice-admiral having been naval attache here from 1903 to 19.07. Since the war began he has made several sev-eral trips to the Pacific coast as a commander of Japanese warships. He came to Washington again as naval advisor to Viscount Ishii, who headed the Japanese mission soot to his country soon after America entered tho war. Upon his return to Japan Vice Admiral Ad-miral Takeshita was placed in command com-mand of the general naval staff. Captain Cap-tain Nomura came to the United States as naval attache in 1915 and returned home only a few months ago. It is said to be possible that, the Japanese representatives to the peace conference may go to Paris via the United States. |
