Richardson, on Grant avenue, between1 Twenty-first and Twenty-second, streets, and taken to the police str-lion str-lion where he was charged with having hav-ing liquor in his possession and of selling the same to young boys On account of the serious nature of the offense and because the defendant had appeared on similar charges in court, Judge Barker pronounced sen-1 tence of $200 or one hundred and j twenty days in the municipal jail J. B. Taylor, who was arrested at! 9:55 a. m. Friday morning, by the city police and charged with having liquor in his possession and with being drunk was another offender who had sold liquor to a boy. Ho had been released on payment of $100 bail, which was forfeited on his non-appearance in' court this morning. i The boy, Blair Marsh, who bought I liquor from Taylor, on account of his previous good record, was given a sus-i pended sentence of thirty days. i Officer Richardson arrested Wm j Schiffer last night at S:45 p. in., who, was released on payment of S5 bail. Schiffer did not appear in coftrt this! morning. Ball was forfeited. j Wm. Burg, the local barber, arrest-! ed on the 11th for being drunk, who, promised to aid tho police In convict-( ing the man from whom he bought the1 liquor failed to live up to his promise and appear in court this morning with j facts to support his intention.
