Show Boys and Parents Attend Annual FF A Banquet. Approximately 95 FFA boys, parents and guests attended the annual FFA banquet held Tuesday Tues-day evening in the Cedar City high school. During tne evening, three local men received honorary FFA memberships. They were Ianthus Wright, Douglas Clark and Frant Esplin. The honorary memberships member-ships were presented by Elmer Cox, FFA advisor. Welcoming address to the af- -fair was given by Bill Rogers, with the father's response given by William E. Rogers. A talk on vocational agriculture was given by Jerry Bryant, FFA, w hile Car-lyle Car-lyle Iiulet told of the accomplishments accomp-lishments of the organization during the past year. During the evening vocal solos were given by Paul Hafen, while a reading was presented by Dav-id Dav-id Brown. Larry Jones served as master of ceremonies and Jimmy Jim-my Neilson, FFA president, was in charge of the banquet. Food for the affair was prepared pre-pared by FFA boys and girls of the Future Home Makers Associa-tion. Associa-tion. Included on the menu was roast pork from a pig donated by F. A. Esplin of the Esplin Feed Exchange. |
