Show Nab Two Juveniles On Burglary Charges A series of six burglaries, and five attempted burglaries, which have occurred In Cedar City since the beginning of February, were cleared up this week following Investigation by the local police and the arresi of two Juveniles who have readiiy admitted to the crimes. Involved In the burglaries are two Cedar youths, one aged 13 and the other 18. The older of the two boys was released from the State Industrial school last November. No-vember. He was sent to the school on a previous burglary charge. Of the six burglaries made, two wore at Cowley Drug store, where a total of $99 was stolen plus some merchandise. Two burglaries burglar-ies were also made at the Goodie Good-ie Garden where $120.30 was tak-en, tak-en, and two at the Grand View-Market, View-Market, where merchandise was taken. In addition, two additional addition-al attempts were made at the Cowley Drug and the Goodie Garden and one at Penney's store. In practically all of the cases, entry was gained through coal chutes or through basement doors. The two boys Involved In the Incident are Vernon Grimm, 18. and Clyde Paddock, 15. A break in the solution of the crimes came when one of the boys was picked up during the day to find out why he wasn't In school. When it wag noted that the heels on his shoes were similar to imprints found near the burglarized stores, he was fingerprinted and the prints matched those at the store. He admitted the crimes and implicated impli-cated the other youth. The police and sheriffs office investigated the burglaries and both boys are being held by the police until Juvenile authorities arrive here Friday to handle the case. |
