Show Parowan Hydro Plant Committee Hears of Operations At a meeting of the hydroelectric hydro-electric committee of the local city council, with Dr. Adams, city engineer, and the city plant operators op-erators and electrician on Thursday Thurs-day night, Dr. Adams reported on a survey of the electric energy production of the two city hydro-plants hydro-plants which he had made that day. Dr. Adams stated that the Para, gonah plant was operating at 89 per cent of effeciency, that the water measurement in the Paragonah creek was four second sec-ond feet and was producing 213 kilowats of electrical energy that day. He stated that the Parowan or Center Creek plant was operating operat-ing at 87 per cent of efficiency and was producing 283 kilowatts fo power with 7.14 second feet of water. Dr. Adams also stated that he had instajled automatic water level controls at the Center Creek plant and that it had been placed in operation that day and appeared ap-peared to be working successfully successful-ly A similar installation was to be made at the Paragonah plant the next day. The problem of water heater controls was discussed at the session and It was decided to go ahead with the installation of these controls on new lines recently re-cently run through the city. This group of controls will be used as an experimental unit on a trial basis for the present time. |
