Show Watercolor Exhibit Graces CSU Lounge Walls A watercolor exhibit, hung by the recently organized Utah Watercolor Wa-tercolor Society, is now on display dis-play at the Library lounge of the College of Southern Utah, according ac-cording to Gaell Lindstrom, vice president of the Utah Society and art instructor at the college. The exhibit, the first of a series ser-ies of simar hangings planned by the Society, is in recognition of National Art Week. A number of prominent watercolor artists of the state are exhibiting in the CSU display. In addition to Lindstrom Lind-strom of the college Grant Wright, a former Cedar City resident, re-sident, Is exhibiting, it is understood. under-stood. Tatrons are invited to view the exhibit at anytime. Citizens of the area should feel free to drop into the lounge at any time to view the exhibit. All paintings on display, Lindstrom states, are for sale. The present exhibit will hang until Christmas. A number of programs are contemplated in connection with the exhibit while it is available. Exhibiting in the show are: Max Blain, Homer Clark, Florence Flor-ence B. Drake, Calvin Fletcher, Elverta Jacobsen, Gaell Lindstrom, Lind-strom, Peter Lafon, John Mlzuno, DcAnna McDonald, Myra Towell, Grace Solomon and Mr. Wright Grayce Solomon is president ol the Utah Watercolor Sosiety. The Society was organized in May ol this year. Similar projects are planned throughout the state and future exhibits in Cedar City arc contemplated. |
