Show FOR EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR Boise Disposes of Ricks Vikings To Retain I C A Conference Crown Well they did it again! That's the Boise Broncos of Boise, Idaho and we have reference in the Intermountain Collegiate Athletic Conference Con-ference title. For the eighth consecutive year the Broncos of Boise have taken the crown and it is the eighth year that Boise has been undefeated in ICAC play. The title was clinched last Friday afternoon at Rexburg, Ida. when the Boise lads downed the Ricks College Vikings by the convincing score of 32 to 0. Last year the Vikings tied the Boise Broncos. Three Came Schedule The I C A Conference officials saw fit again this year to let the Boise Broncos into the football race with only three conference games. Weber also pjayed a thre- game conference stand this year, the least number of games ever allowed In the ICAC and as far as it is known the least number of games that has ever been allowed al-lowed in any conference. Boise opened the I C A C race this year with a one-sided win over Carbon College of Price, added ad-ded its second victory against Weber College and completed the conference play against Ricks last week. Results of the I C A C schedule sched-ule this season is as.fcjlows: Boise 3 0 1.000 Ricks 5 1 .833 Snow 3 1 "50 Weber 1 2 .333 j Dixie 1 3 .250: C S U 1 4 .200 Carbon 1 4 .200 Vikings Active Ricks College took on all comers com-ers in tho ICAC playing every team in the conference. College of Southern Utah and Carbon College played five ICAC games and from there the num- ber of conference games goes to i four for Snow and Dixie andj three for Weber and Boise. If, and that is a big if, Boise and Weber are interested in participating par-ticipating in the ICAC the conference con-ference board ought to Insist that j they play in the conference. Take Boise's case for Instance. For eight years they have had little competition in the I C A C. . This year they played only thre? . games simply to retain their ti-t.'e ti-t.'e while they will complete six games outside the conference. At Weber it is jjhe same story, three games in the conference and five outside the conference. With such a program th co-- ference is sure to suffer. It is suf ' fering now and the g.vernin; body should do something al)u:'. It. |
