Show Veteran Auxiliaries To Honor Cedar Ex-Servicemen (Editor's Note: This article prepared pre-pared by the American Legion Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary organization organi-zation in Cedar City is printed in behalf of these organizations' efforts in the observance of Veteran's Vet-eran's Day, Friday, Nov. 11). Again with grateful hearts we pause to pay homage to our veterans vet-erans on their day, Friday, Nov. 11. In the proper observance of Veteran's Day, we all have the opportunity to preach patriotism byactuaj example to the young men and women who may some day be called upon to defend our country. By demonstrating that we cherish the memory of those who have made personal sacrifices to protect our country in the past, we can inspire the youth of today to-day with the wish to become better bet-ter citizens', and with a loyalty that will make our country invincible in-vincible in the future. On this day we can also display the American nag in the winnows oi our home, in our front yards, in front of our business establishments. establish-ments. The veteran can teach and be sure that his own children understand un-derstand why this one day has been dedicated to the nation's veterans and "why November 11, should instill in al.'. Americans, Ameri-cans, young and old, a special appreciation for the blessings they enjoy a citizens of a free country. The V F W and American Legion Le-gion auxiliaries wish to extend an invitation to all Cedar City veterans and their partners, to attend a dinner and program in their honor at the Elks Hall basement base-ment recreation rooms Friday evening, Nov. 11. Serving wiV begin be-gin promptly at 7 p. m. We aJso want to thank the Elks' for their contribution. They have furnished their facilities at no cost so that we may present this program and dinner. |
