Show VETO VEYO. Nov. 12. A number of our townspeople spent Saturday in St. George celebrating Armistice day. All seemed to feel well paid for going. Sunday evening in our sacrament meeting, we had with us Mr. and Mrs. John T. Woodbury, Sr., Alton Fordham and Carlyle Thompson. Their talks were in keeping with the day and much appreciated. Mr-, and Mrs. Lee V. Leavitt of Gunlock were in town Sunday for a visit with relatives. Mrs. Benjamin Chadburn is in St. Thomas spending some time with her daughter, Miss Remola, who is attending at-tending high school there. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Leavitt of Gunlock were visiting in town Sunday. Sun-day. A number of men from here spent last week in the Meadows digging potatoes po-tatoes for Tom Forsythe and Roy Holt. They report a large crop. Albert Bunker spent last week hauling in the cement for the dance floor at the Dixie Hot Springs. Mrs. Charles Crafts of Deseret is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Heywood. She expects to spend some time here. Lem S. Leavitt has returned from Ox valley. He has been there all fall gathering his crops and putting in crops for the corning year. Glenn Leavitt was down from the sawmill at-Pine Valley Sunday. |
