Mr. and Mrs. Donald Macfarlane and family arrived here Sunday from Denver, Colo., to visit relatives. Claude Morris came in Monday from Silver Reef on account of the serious illness of his mother. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Larson spent the week end visiting here from Las Vegas, Nev. Mr.' and Mrs. John Hunt and baby of Gunlock were St. George visitors Tuesday. Wayne Wilson of La Verkin was a business visitor in St. George on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Pulsipher of Mesquite were in St. George on business busi-ness Tuesday. William Prince who underwent an operation at the local hospital last week, is improving nicely now. Mrs. Jos. Empey, Jr., who has been seriously ill the past three weeks, is improving slowly. Miss Christine Gregerson entertained entertain-ed at her home last Saturday evening in honor of Miss LaRee Milne. Mrs. Edna Bentley entertained the members of . the O. D. O. club at her home last Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Esplin entertained enter-tained a number of friends at their home last Saturday evening. Mrs. Dora A. Seeley, who spent several weeks in St. George left on Sunday for her home in Detroit, Michigan. Misses Leatha Graff, Lola Williams Wil-liams and Fay Parker of Kanarra attended at-tended the Armistice day dance here Saturday night. Miss LaRee Milne entertained twenty guests at her home last Friday Fri-day evening. The occasion was her birthday. A dinner party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Kemp last Sunday evening in honor of. Mr. Kemp s birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Bert McQuarrie of '6ajLake City came in Sunday to ,pend several days with relatives in St. George. Mrs. Charles Sullivan arrived home Sunday from Logan where she spent a few weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Rouse Hall. A party was given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Milne Tuesday evening eve-ning in honor of Erastus S. Milne who is visiting here. Mrs. Julia Grey, a former resident of St. George, arrived here Sunday from Los Angeles to visit her brother, broth-er, John Sullivan, and other relatives. rela-tives. Mr. and Mrs. D. Joseph McArthur left Tuesday for Cedar City to make their home. Mr. McArthur will engage en-gage in the bakery business there. The daughters of Mrs. George Brooks, Sr., entertained in honor of their mother's 73rd birthday at the home of Mrs. May Harris Monday afternoon. Delicious refreshments were served to about forty guests and a very enjoyable time was had. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. McKnight and Elsie and Robert Reber of Littlefield were St. George visitors Tuesday. The latter two came up for medical treatment. treat-ment. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Black returned re-turned to their home at Short Creek Friday after spending a few months in St. George. They were accompanied accompan-ied by Miss Olive Walker who will spend a month there. Miss Grace Lund returned Sunday from Cedar City where she spent a few days with her brother Wilford who received a fractured skull in an accident the fore part of last week. The young man is now improving in the Iron county hospital. Members of the Woodward faculty and Mrs. Stella Bleak gave a shower Monday night in honor of Miss Katharine Miles at the home of Miss Annie Miles. Forty guests were present and an enjoyable time was had playing cards. Mrs. Rulon Snow and Mrs.. Stevens won prizes. |
