Show Support Sought For SHigh School Bill Persons in attendance at the mass meeting held in the Elementary Elem-entary school gym on Wednesday night to discuss the pending Union high school bill were advised ad-vised to immediately contact Utah's congressional delegation and urge passage of the bill. Unique Un-ique in that it calls for a federal grant for the financing of the proposed pro-posed high school on the basis of the non-taxable public lands in Duchesne and Uintah counties, considerable question may be raised in both houses of congress. Anticipating that this will be the case a general call has gone forth soliciting the aid of every resident resi-dent in the area to be served by the school: Seeking full local support sup-port for the bill another public mass meeting has been called for the evening of March 28 in the Elementry school at 8.00 p.m. At this meeting Attorney George Stewart will discuss new developments de-velopments and present a list of all delegates to congress for the western states. The plan will then be to ask the help of the western delegation to pass the bill through congress. |
