Show j Production Record Set By Industrial School Cows Ogdcn-Two registered Holstein-. Holstein-. Friesan cows from the dairy herd 'of the Utah State Industrial 1 Sshool recently completed pro- duction records of more than 550 I pounds of butterfat, the Holstein-I Holstein-I Friesan Association of America announces. I Weber Burke Zila 1969943 was the higher producer of the two cows, with a record of 673 pounds of butterfat and 17,794 pounds of milk. The record was made in 365 days, on two milk-ings milk-ings daily, and bettered the average aver-age milk cow production by i three and one half times. Sired by Wisconsin Burke Lad 697789, Weber Burke Zila established the production record at the age of seven years and eight months. The other high producer from 1 the Industrial School hero was Weber Double Zeno 2286305. At the age of three years and four months this cow produced over a period of 365 days on two niilk-ings niilk-ings daily, 575 pounds of butterfat butter-fat and 13,934 pounds of milk. Weber Double Zeno was sired by Weber Burke Double 79896. Testing was conducted by the Utah State Agricultural College in cooperation with the Holstein association. |
