Show Legion, Auxiliary Enjoy Party Last Friday, August 20 Legionairres, their partners, and members of the Auxiliary of Pleas-Grove Pleas-Grove Post 70, enjoyed a chicken dinner Friday evening on the lawn of the Tihrd ward chapel. The affair was in charge of Post Commander Com-mander William J. Peterson and Auxiliary President Mary Washburn. Wash-burn. The program featured talks by Boys' Staters Wayne Ash, Ross Nelson and Verdon Walker. The boys expressed appreciation for the opportunities afforded them at the July Boys State conclave held at Camp W. G. Williams this year. They also thanked the local organizations who had made their attendance financially possible. These organizations were: Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Chamber of Commerce, Pleasant Grove Jaycees, and the local American Legion Post 70. David Tree of Lindon, the fourth Pleasant Grove High School Junior Jun-ior to attend Boys State this year was unable to appear on the program. |
