Outdoor Reception Honors Young Couple After Temple Wedding Rites A score of friends attended the reception on Friday evening at 192 South Main Street in Pleasant Grove which paid honor to Betty Jo Page and Duane Davis married earlier in the Salt Lake LDS temple. tem-ple. Officiating at the ceremony was Elder David A. Eroadben! . a great-uncle of the bridegroom. Witnessing- the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. J. Albert Page, parents of the bride; Mr., and Mrs. Boyd C. Davis, Orem, parents of the bridegroom; Mrs. Louise Coleman, grandmother to the bride; Margene Page, sister of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Davis. For the reception in the evening the couple and their parents were joined by Mrs. Delmar Davis, maid of honor, and Nadine Monson, Ar-dena Ar-dena Beck, Meridee Moyle and Kathleen Kammermeyer, bridesmaids. brides-maids. Delmar Davis, brother of the bridegroom, stood with him. Betty Jo wore an exquisite gown of white tulle underlaid with natin and characterized by bands of insertion in-sertion alternating pleated intervals inter-vals of the tulle. Bands of the insertion in-sertion crisscrossed the bodice and the whole was worn with elbow length tulle mitts. A small coronet coron-et of beads supported her double veil of ilfusion. Her bouquet was white orchids and stephanotis. The bridal attendants were frocked in pale green and lavender antique taffeta and held white baskets bas-kets filled with baby orchids. The orchids were a gift from the bride's cousin, Ann Kammermeyer and were flown from Honolulu. Mrs. E. L. Kammermeyer, an aunt, assisting at the reception, made the table arrangements while Mrs. Flora D. Fisher designed the serving tables and floral pieces in the garden. Wood roses and lighted light-ed candles were set on green taffeta taf-feta on the serving table and lavender lav-ender and green cloths marked the serving tables. Assisting in receiving at the entrance were Mrs. Floyd Vest, Mrs. Preston Taylor, Mrs. Richard Rich-ard Heilbut, Nola Carlisle, Georgia Lea Bullock, Madelyn Wootton and Mr. and Mrs. Lyean Johnson. Ushers were LaMar Twitchell, Michael Kammermeyer, Frank Sumsion, Lyle de Lange, and Lc-land Lc-land Davis. Gifts- were' received by Elaine Johnson, Richard Madsen, R. J. Davis. They were arranged by Mrs. A. F. Coleman, Marlene Monson, Mary Monson, Mrs. Virl Scott, Mrs. Elwin Mitchell, Louise Scott, and Mrs, Delos Scott. Patricia Anderson An-derson was at the guest book. Serving guests refreshments were Geniel Simper, Arlene Jor-gensen, Jor-gensen, Melba Gardiner, Renae Or-ton, Or-ton, Gayle Thorne, Patricia Lynne Grover, Mrs. Gene Rasmussen, Helen Easton, and Joan Hales. Later in the evening friends wished them well as the couple left to honeymoon at Sun Valley in Idaho. Upon their return they will be at home in Provo where Mr. Davis will complete his senior year at Brigham Young University and Mrs. Davis will be teaching at Dixon Junior High School. A sumptious wedding dinner was held early Friday evening at the Boyd C. Davis home in Orem prior to the reception in Pleasant Grove. Immediate family members present included the two grandmothers grand-mothers of Betty Jo, Mrs. Louise Coleman and Mrs. Gertrude Page, Mr. an dMrs. J. Albert Page, Mr. and Mrs. Asael Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Halvor Madsen, the bride and groom, Mr and Mrs. Duane Davis, and parents of the groom, and Roger Davis, Margene Page, Ar-dena Ar-dena Beck, Nadine Monson, and LaMar Twitchell. |
