Com-pany. J. Aiza Adams and Nyal Wadley look on. Manila Culinary Water Company Well Flows Four and One-Half Second Feet of Water A culinary well flowing four and one-half second feet of clear cold water, under pump, has been brought in for the Manila Culinary Water Company. L. M. Atwood, president of the company, stated that the water from the well will be pumped into the company's storage tanks for use in the fast-growing fast-growing community. The well completed by the L. G. Lee Well Drilling Company of Salt , Lake City, is located in a small ravine directly east of the Manila Ward chapel. A 12 inch pipe was driven to a depth of 360 feet into water bearing sand and gravel. The water has now risen to within with-in 130 feet of the ground surface; and the level remains constant at the four and one-half second feet pumping rate. Mr. Atwood stated that the new addition to Manila's culinary water system is being financed by means of a government loan. Future plans call for a considerable extension of the present water lines. "We are confident that the ample water supply will make of our community one of the choice residential sections sec-tions in Utah County." said Mr. Atwood. Other members of the board are Ezra J. Swenson, vice president; Keith Wamick, secretary; and Boyd Fuga.1, Merrill Allen, and Stanford Ekins, directors. |
