Show BLM calls for coal interest SALT LAKE CITY -The BLM is again issuing a call for expressions of coal leasing interest under the Federal Coal Management Program. This phase (phase II) is to integrate potential lessees data and needs into the coal activity planning stages of the Federal coal management in the Uinta-Southwestern Utah Coal Production Region. The data received from this coal will be used along with existing data to delineate tracts which would be considered for possible competitive leasing, according to BLM officials. More information is available by contacting Max Nielson, Coal Project Manager, Utah State Office, BLM, 136 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111, This call is now in effect for the second round of coal leasing activity in the Uinta-Southwestern Uinta-Southwestern Utah Coal Region for possible lease sales beginning in December 1983. Responses should be sent to the State Director, Bureau of Land Management, University Club Building, 136 East South Temple, Salt Lake City, Utah 84111 and to the District Conservation Manager for Resource Evaluation, U.S. Geological Survey, Conservation Division, 2070 Administration Building, 1745 West 1700 South Salt Lake City, Utah 84104 by Jan. 15. |
