Show W. Arthur Jones Flagstaff, Ariz, and Mary Olds of Las Vegas, Nev. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a son, Howard, and a daughter, Ona Lewis. Funeral services were held Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. in the Cedar Second LDS Ward Chapel. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury and Graff Mortuary. He was a merchant and farmer. He was the founder and past president of Cedar Lumber and Hardware, Co., president of the State Shade Tree Commission and president of Intermountain Lumber Dealers Assoc.. . He " was an active member of the LDS church, serving in a bishopric and state presidency. He is survived by his wife of Cedar City; two daughters; Shirley Merchant of Cedar City and Betty Lou Jones of Salt Lake City; and stepchildrenGarth Webster of Cedar City, Louise Turner of W. Arthur Jones, 93,, died Dec. 16, 1981, in a Cedar City hospital. He was born Feb. 2, 1888, in Cedar City to William Treharne and Caroline Arthur Jones. He married Blanche Corry June 6, 1914 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Jan 24, 1942. He married Rhoda P. Webster, Nov. 18, 1949, in Thather, Ariz. |
