This is the 26th consecutive year the First Security Foundation has given a check for scholarships and library grants. Bank awards money scholarships and grants to colleges and universities in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. An additional $3,600 has been designated for Future Farmer Clubs of America and 4-H CEDAR CITY The first Security Foundation has awarded $1,200 to Southern Utah State College, $1,000 in scholarships and an additional $200 in library grants. Francis W. Betenson, vice-president and manager, First Security Bank of Utah, Cedar City, presented the check to Harl E. Judd, acting president at SUSC, this week. "First Security has been making contributions to SUSC since 1955," Betenson said. "The yearly donation is based on the Foundation's continuing support of quality higher education." Since the First Security Foundation was established in 1952, more than $570,000 has been awarded to colleges and universities and to various youth groups in the Intermountain region.
