Show 4-H Clubs A weekly 4-H Club meeting was held at Mrs. Bruce Hartman Hart-man s home on Monday of last week. They are following a second sec-ond year sewing project. At this meeting they elected the following fol-lowing officers: Josephine Wall president; Bonnie Perkins, vice-president; vice-president; Cheryl Evans, secretary; secre-tary; Carolyn Dastrup, reporter, i The other member present was Jean Boswell. The Third Year 4-H Club girls met at Mrs. Bruce Hart-man's Hart-man's home on Monday, June 30. Their project is also sewing. The girls who attended were-RaNae were-RaNae Stevenson, Gayle Case, Sheila Evans and Lois Sadler. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cowan and family, of Duchesne, were dinner guests last Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Max Hartman and family. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Thacker and family have returned home from California, while Mr. Thacker's company is having a strike. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Boswell and two sons, of Ogden, visited from Friday to Saturday of last week with Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Spar and two children, oi Delta, are visiting vis-iting with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ames. Mrs. Chuck Reay and her sister, Bonnie Jean Nielson, of Salt Lake City, attended Fast Day meeting to have the Reay baby blessed. Mr. F. Earl Case blessed the baby and gave it the name of Robert Fay Reay. They have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fay 'Reay and Mr. and Mrs. Colin Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Evan Hansen and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Lambert Lam-bert and family spent the 4th of July on a picnic trip in the Yellowstone River region of the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. David Gailey and family were in Salt Lake on business and to' visit relatives rela-tives over the holiday weekend. Mrs. Rebecca Larson and son, Jesse, are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Lyrad McConkie. They are from Price. Don Marsing and Mr. and j Mrs. Dean Peterson and family, of California, and Mrs. Bert Peterson, of Roosevelt, visited the Hartmans on Sunday, July 5th. VARIETY CLUB MEETS The Mt. Emmons Variety club met at the home of Mrs. Bruce Hartman Monday, July 6. The evening was spent in table games and in discussing the sponsoring of an entrant for the Miss Duchesne contest. Thosa present were: Mrs. LaVere Timothy. Tim-othy. Mrs. Hershel Iorg Mrs. Ned Mitchell, Mrs. Max Hartman, Hart-man, Mrs. Eugene Hartman, Mrs. Ken LaRose, Mrs. Grant Hansen, Mrs. Evan Hansen and Mrs. Johnny Lambert. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Young entertained en-tertained several of their children chil-dren and their families last week. The visitors were Mr. and Mrs. June Young and family, of Fallon, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Day and family, of Salt Lake City; Perry Young, from Pinedale, Wyoming; Carl Young from Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Nielsen and sons, from Bridgeland. Wallace Hardman. of Salt Lake City, visited with his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Wm Evans, over the 4th of July weekend, returning with Mr. Evans, who is at the U of U for summer school sessions. Keith Duke is viisting his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Dastrup during the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. Sadler Sad-ler and two sons and A. W. Sadler were weekend guests over the 4th holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and family. Miss Bernice Boswell came home from Salt Lake for the holiday weekend to be with her family, Mr. and Mrs. Volney Boswell. |
