Show Ofah Baptist Ass'n Holds Conference At Susher Tuesday GUSHER (Special) Members from Southern Baptist churches of the Utah Baptist Association, met with the Gusher Baptist church for a monthly workers conference, Tuesday, July 7, at 1 p.m. Those participating in the afternoon program were as follows: Song service. Harold Dillman, host pastor; devotional, devotion-al, Bill Hunke, pastor of the Vernal church; report on Home Mission Conference and plans for the Utah Encampment -State general missionary, Ira I. Marks; reports from pastors of churches represented. Stewardship sermon, Charles Ray, pastor of the Rose Park church; quartet, "Neath the Old Olive Trees," Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dillman, accompanied by Mrs. William Trow; message on mission, Dr. Frank Belvin, director of Indian missions of I the Southern Baptist Convention, Conven-tion, from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ok-lahoma. The Executive Board and the Women's Missionary Union met simultaneously for the remainder remain-der of the afternoon. Mrs. Frank Belvin was the guest speaker for the ladies. Dinner was served at 6 p.m. by the host church. The evening program was given giv-en over to the ordination of Harold DillmanV pastor of the Gusher Baptist church. Moderator Moder-ator for the service was Ira I. Marks; clerk, Wm. Trow; elected elect-ed questioner, Myron Crawford, Price Baptist pastor. Other members of the examining council coun-cil were Bill Hunke, Frank Belvin, Bel-vin, Robert Johnson, Charles Ray and John Watson, Drag-gerton Drag-gerton pastor. The charge to Pastor Dillman and to the Gusher church was given by Pastor Bill Hunke. Special music, "Have I Not Chosen You?" was by Mr. and Mrs. Wm. -Trow, accompanied by Mrs. Bill Hunke. The Ordination sermon was by Dr. Frank Belvin. The closing prayer was offered offer-ed by Robert Johnson. . |
