Show 17IIITER0CKS Madeena Smith Two Families Have Get-To-Gether The family of Mrs. Nellie Merkley and Elbert Smith held a family get-to-gether on Sunday at Whiterocks. Those attending from out of town were the family fam-ily of Charles Merkley and Mrs. Nellie Merkley of Logan, Gene Merkley of Long Beach, California, Cali-fornia, Loyal Merkley of Spanish Span-ish Fork, Clyde Merkley of Tri-dell, Tri-dell, Mrs. Lelia Merkley of Vernal, Ver-nal, Aneita Hancock of Oakland Oak-land ,Califorian. Members of the Elbert Smith family were Dall Christensen of Long Beach, CaL ifornia, Mrs. Bonnie Bates, Ven-eita Ven-eita Smith of Long Beach, California, Cali-fornia, Mr. Robert Burton of Ogden, Ednal Simmons of Tri-dell. Tri-dell. Bill Parisher of Roosevelt, Mary Lundquist and husband of Ogden, Mrs. Helen Walker and family of Vernal. On Thursday a music recital was given by the students of Mrs. Brough. Those taking part were: Clark Orem. who sang and played several numbers, Lillian and Madeline Duncan, Ina and Doris Ellington, Patty Hogben, Ferrell Smith, Fay El-lingford, El-lingford, Gwenda Betty Ober-hansley, Ober-hansley, Lorna Oberhansley and Vickey Ellingford. A party was held after the recitl for Patty Hogben, who is leaving soon to live in Salt Lake City. On Thursday Mr. George Walkup was called to Wyoming due to the death of his brother. Chester Smith went to Jackson, Jack-son, Wyoming to get his horse returning Sunday night. The Clarence Murray family went to Pole Creek Wednesday to see Dallas who is with the sheep there. A picnic lunch was enjoyed. Mrs. Aneita Hancock of Oakland, Oak-land, California and Mrs. Nellie Merkley of Logan visited at the home of Mrs. Elbert Smith last week. Mr. Alma Christensen of Drag-erton Drag-erton was a week-end visitor at the home of Mr. Marineus Christensen. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Taylor of Lapoint visited at the home of Leland Moosman last week. |
