Show LeetojLvBeiiiiettf Mrs. Fern Houston Bennett Dumped Ft. Duchesne 14-13 Saturday morning the Ft. Duchesne Du-chesne baseball team played Bennett, on Bennett's diamond. There were at least 150 people who' witnessed the game, and from the cheering they all enjoyed en-joyed it. The score was 13 to 14 in Bennett's favor. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Brown, of Vernal, came and joined the Clair Haslem and the Gerald Bolton families in a picnic up in Uinta Canyon, on July 4th. Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Horrocks visited Friday in Roosevelt with Mr. and Mrs. Dick Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Snyder, who are here from San Diego', Calif.' for a visit. Major and Mrs. Elbert Curtis, of Alabama, visited at the Win-fred Win-fred Long home on Sunday. They are enroute to California. Thursday night there was a square dance at the ward house. The Ballard square dancers were entertained and there will be a dance next Thursday. All adults are invited. David Andrews and son, Frank, of San Bernadino, Calif., were visitors at the home of Winfred Long Sunday afternoon and evening. Kenneth and Douglas Phillips and Garr Bolton were home from - Rawlings, Wyoming to spend the holidays and play ball. They returned to Wyoming Wyom-ing Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. John Houston, of Provo, visited at the home of his parents Friday, and brought their son, Ralph, to spend a week visiting Alan Gray at the J. A. Houston home. Morrell Labrum and family visited with Mr. and Mrs. Otis Horrocks. Arvin Labrum is home on leave from Maryland, where he is stationed with the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Mary Hamaker was here a few days last week visiting her son, Marvin, and family. Mr and Mrs.' Ray Haslam and daughter, Beth, were dinner guests at the home of Clair Haslem, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Harmston, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harmston and Mr. and Mrs. Miller spent a couple of days in Uinta Canyon Can-yon last week. |
