Former resi- i dents of Springville, they have , been making their home in Long Beach for the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Wm Banks (Mau-rine (Mau-rine Martain) of Bakersfield, Calif., have spent the past several days visiting Mrs. Banks' parents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Martain, and other relatives and friends. Melva Dean Bird, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavell Bird, is convalescing con-valescing from an appendicitis operation which she underwent recently re-cently at the Payson hospital. Grover Clyde has returned to his home in Milwaukee, Wis., after a two-weeks' visit with relatives and friends here. He came to bring his daughter Mary to the B. Y. U. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Jennie Starr, returned with him for a visit. Lt. Joseph L. Pace has returned to San Diego, Calif., where he is a doctor in the navy hospital. His wife, the former Pauline Clyde, and their two sons are remaining with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Clyde, for a visit. Grant Clyde has had as his guests three days of the past week, Kojin Goya and John S. Miyasate of Honolulu. T. H. Both boys were on their way home after two years service in the army in Italy. While they were here, Grant Baptized Kojin Goya, to whom he had taught principals of the L D S church while in the islands. Miss Louise Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Micheal Long, has returned from a visit with Lt. Paul and Mildred Parry Hansen a't Randolph Ran-dolph Field, Texas. She accompanied accom-panied Mrs. Hansen on her trip down and returned by plane. Mrs. H. Mack Dougall and daughter are expected to arrive here this week from Memphis, Tenn., to visit her mother, Mrs-Rebecca Mrs-Rebecca Reynolds, and other relatives rela-tives and friends. She will be here for her mother's birthday Saturday. Satur-day. Miss Hazel Caldwell of Lodi, Calif., is spending a few days as the guest of Miss Nola Loveridge and other friends. Russell Manning of Boulder-City, Boulder-City, Nev., a student at the TJ. S. A. C, Logan, spent the week-end with friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Poundstone of Los Angeles, Calif., have been visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Baker the past week. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hardy of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Pro-vo, Pro-vo, came up for the deer hunt and v also visited this week with their daughter, Mrs. Steve Miller and family in Springville. Mr. Hardy was one of the first to check out with his deer. |
