Show TRIBUTES PAID AT SERVICES FOR MRS. N. E. WIIITMORE Many relatives and friends paid tributes of respect to the life of Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth Miner Whit-more Whit-more at funeral services conducted Wednesday afternoon, in the Second Sec-ond ward chapel. Mrs. Whitmore died Saturday evening, at the family residence on South Main street- She had been in ill health for some time. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, directed by A. Y. Wheeler Wheel-er and Son mortuary. Mrs. Whitmore was born in Springville, January 10, 1871, a daughter of Moroni and Nancy Chase Miner, early Springville pioneers. She had made her home in Springville always, with exception excep-tion of 14 years of her early married mar-ried life, when she lived in Eureka. She was married to James M. Whitmore at Springville in 1891. He died a number of years ago. Mrs. Whitmore has always been an active member of the L. D S-church, S-church, and .for many years was a Relief Society teacher. She was also a member of , Camp Aaron Johnson, D. U. P. She is survived by four daughters daugh-ters and one son, Mrs. Jeanett Ul-lock Ul-lock and Mrs. Ellen Anderson, Springville; Glendon Whitmore of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Rowena Bundy of St. George; Mrs. Ruth Kraft of Greenriver, Wyo.; also 21 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; grand-children; six brothers and sisters, M. F. Miner, Paul Miner and Thorn Miner of Springville; Austin Aus-tin Miner of Provo; Mrs. Ruth Bennion of Salt Lake City, and George Miner of Oakland, Calif. |
