No other quartet of screen players play-ers could provide more refreshing entertainment than these two newest new-est hit combinations of the screen Van and Esther, the popular young lovers of "Thrill of a Romance." Ro-mance." and Lucille and Keenan, the mirthsome twosome of "Without "With-out Love." "Easy To Wed" marks the first singing and dancing apearance on the screen for both Johnson and Miss Williams, each of whom won their stellar rating in Hollywood during the past year, Van for his performance in "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo," and Esther with her role in "Bathing Beauty." Johnson, John-son, who first entered show business busi-ness as a dancer in Broadway musicals, steps a neat samba with Miss Williams. Lucille Ball also has one of her most sparkling roles, as a hot-tempered night club dancer left waiting wait-ing at the altar by Wynn, in the role of a fast-talking newspaper editor. Miss Ball tops this versatile versa-tile performance with a musical number, singing and dancing "The Continental Polka," while Wynn proves once more that he has carved a niche all his own with his fide range of hilarious characterizations. |
