Show School flotes ROOSEVELT ELEMENTARY In our Social Studies we are learning about the rain forests of the world. We have read about Pimwe, a little Indian boy who lives in the Amazon rain forest in South America. Their way of living seems strange to us. They live in a big grass house called a Maloka. They eat turtles, frogs, rats, snakes and lizzards. These are cooked in a pot over a fire that is kept burning all the time. Everyone in the family eats out of the same pot. The men eat before the women. It has been fun studying about these people. Mrs. Jensen's fourth grade j By Kent Memmott I |
