Show Father Of Two .... . - Tabby Mountain Claims Life In Deer Hunting Accident By Thelma Nye TABIONA Everyone in Tabiona is greatly saddened over ov-er the accidental shooting during dur-ing the deer hunt of Lewis Loh Humes, 23, husband of Mrs. Velda Jones Humes, and father of two small children. Valo'na K., age '4, and Steven Lon, age 10 months. The young couple is also expecting another baby. The sad accident occurred around noon Sunday near the top of Tabby Mountain. Lon was hunting with his brother, Donald Don-ald Humes, Riverton, and was accidently snot as the two were running down hill after a deer. Full details are scanty as Donald Don-ald collapsed from shock after i the accident and had to be tak-l en to the Heber Hospital in an ambulance. He is also the father of three small children and grave concern is felt for his condition con-dition at this writing. Their mother is Mrs. Daisy Mirl Humes who resides in Riverton. Their father died several years ago. The family formerly resided resid-ed in Fruitland. Lon had been employed at the Utah Poultry Plant in American j Fork for the past few months, i but had resided in Tabiona most of his married life. He was a, member of the Church of Jesus I Christ of Latter-day Saints and participated actively in church and civic affairs. He was a member of the Tabiona ward M Men basketball team last year. Sheriff Arzy Mitchell, of Duchesne, Du-chesne, investigated the accident. acci-dent. Funeral services were held in the Tabiona ward Wednesday at 1 p.m. and burial was in the Tabiona Cemetery. Mrs. Velda Humes' parents are Mr. and Mrs. Heber Jones, Tabiona. |
