"Stuff and Nonsense',' Hallowe'en party attended by Spur members at the Union , liX School Monday evening , B', iust that in every sense of ST word From the appropriate nn to the nonsensical enter-Sent enter-Sent Hallowe'en hilarity n high for the twenty-five in tendance from the moment 2 entered the Hallowe'en bedecked be-decked room until the party engette Eldredge and Virgie Murphy were at the helm of llg funfest, yrtiich provided Zod laughs for all, including fhe following five new mem-Lrs mem-Lrs who were welcomed into ,he club by J. O. Orser, .membership .mem-bership chairman: Mary Burgess Bur-gess Mary Lois Reichert, Palmyra Pal-myra Peterrson, Zora Gardner and Rhoda Rudy. Lenore Hutchings, president, sounded the keynote for the "Stuff and Nonsense" to get into in-to swing and also welcomed the new members. All present were compelled to' participate in the program, which featured "Careers at Mid-' Mid-' night, The Rhythm Stranglers i and The Debaters. Difficult as it was, the three judges, Florence Rosecrans, Nina Ludlow and Louiette Mc-Kinlay, Mc-Kinlay, awarded the prizes thus-ly: thus-ly: Ellen Rawlings,- the wolf; Rhoda Rudy, the gal men would want to come" home to; Blanche Murphy and Wanda Riggle, the Charleston dancers; Mary Bur-. Bur-. gess, best warbler; and J. O. I Orser, master debater. |
