Show Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Cannon Return from Honeymoon Trip Through Northern Utah HURRICANE, Utah. Returning last week to St. George after honeymoon in northern Utah, were Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Cannon who were married January 30th in the St. George Temple, with Pres. Harold S. Snow officiating. Mrs. Cannon is the former Ruth Barber, daughter of Frank Barber of Hurricane, Hur-ricane, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Q. Cannon of St. George. Following the marriage ceremony cere-mony the wedding party motored to Hurricane where the bride's father honored the couple with a wedding reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Dalton, with many relatives and friends attending attend-ing from Iron and Washington counties. For the reception the bride wore her wedding dress of white slip- per satin, a floor-length model with full-length sleeves and lace trim, made by her sister-in-law, Mrs. Doris Barber. Her train-length train-length veil was of white silk net with matching lace trim, and her corsage was of gardenias and rosebuds. Greeting the guests were the bride's sister. Buelah. and a friend. Mrs. Gerald Gifford. Attending the bride were Mrs. Robert E. Cox of Cedar City and Mrs. Eldon McArthur of Hurricane. Ross Syphus of St. George was the groom's best man. In the serving room the table was covered with a lace cloth centered with the elaborately decorated dec-orated wedding cake, flanked with carnations and roses. Florence Imlay and Jean Riding poured, with Dorothy Hirschi, Barbara Tweedie and Vaun Sanders assisting assist-ing with the serving. Norma Koch and Cleone Stratton were in charge of the gift room, and Wayne Hinton was master of ceremonies cer-emonies for the evening, provoding an informal program of music and games. Miss Barber is a graduate of Hurricane high school and has since been employed in St. George. Mr. Cannon is a Dixie graduate. They will make their home for the present in St. George. |
