Show Saturday Set For Big Tabernacle Work Day For St. George Stake Plans are materializing rapidly for the big work day on the St. George Tabernacle grounds, an-ounces an-ounces Pres. Harold S. Snow. A really big day is anticipated with responses thus far received, and with the program well- mapped, the grounds should show vital improvement at the close of next Saturday evening. Men have been requested to come single-handed with shovels, rakes and pitchforks, or with teams and wagons, or trucks or pick-ups, there will be plenty of work for every one who comes. Also, the Relief Society women are planning plenty of food for the noon lunch to be held in the Tabernacle basement. It is expected there will be visitors vis-itors from Salt Lake City and pictures are to be taken before the work begins and at various times during the day, as work progresses. The Seventies quorum is constructing con-structing a loading pit for the soil-hauling, which will materially help with this phase of the work and everything is being done to facilitate the day's program in the best way possible. Judging by what has been accomplished ac-complished in the past on such (Continued on page five) Tabernacle Work Day j (Continued from First Page) civic and church improvement days, those in charge of the present pres-ent program feel certain that this will be another evidence of what cooperative effort can put over in one working day, under the eyes of the tower clock which has been stepped up to war time. |
