Show Miss Mary Morris And John J. Phoenix Jr. Marry Here Thursday Night Mr. and Mrs. Morton Morris announce an-nounce the marriage of their daughter, Mary Lund Morris, to John J. Phoenix Jr., which took place at their home Thursday evening, June 6. Counselor Vernon Worthen of the St. George stake presidency read the ceremony in the presence of the immediate family, and two invited guests. The bride has taught in the local school under Mr. Worthen as principal, and he was formerly her bishop. Miss Morris is a former graduate gradu-ate of the Dixie junior college and has since attended both the university uni-versity of California and University Univer-sity of Southern California. The bride wore a tailored model in white with matching accessories acces-sories and was attended by her intimate girl friends, Miss Marie Knell and Arvilia Pace. The groom is a native of Greensboro. Greens-boro. North Carolina, and came to St. George as a representative of the Standard Oil corporation by whom he is still employed, j Attending the groom as best j man was his business associate, I Kenneth Ence of Santa Clara. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony the couple left for a brief wedding trip to Salt Lake City, from which they returned late Tuesday. They will make their home in St. George. |
