Show La Yerkin Winferd Gubler Reporter Mrs. Ruth Bernardi has returned to her home at Price, after having spent the past week visiting here at the home of her sister, Mrs. Wayne Reid. Don Reid left with Mrs. Bernardi. He will spend some time visiting with relatives at Manti. Mr. and Mrs. Ashworth Thompson Thomp-son and family of Montana are spending part of their vacation here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Stischack and family of Cedar City, have moved into the Edward Gubler home. Mr. Gubler's family have been occupying a home in a different part of town since the first of the year when they took over the management of LaVerkin's general merchandise store. Mr. and Mrs. John Judd made a short trip to Salt Lake City, returning home with their son, Robert Judd, and their daughter, Mrs. Grant Excell, who will spend the vacation season here with ttteir parents. The young people have been in Salt Lake City the past winter attending school. The infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Jennings was christened christen-ed in Sacrament meeting Sunday by Bp. Vernon Church. She was named Doris. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wallace and family of St. George are summer renters here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dilworth Wilson. Miss Ruth Bringhurst of Toquer-ville Toquer-ville has been staying with Joy, Donna and Larry Sanders for a few days while their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvil Sanders were away in the northern part of the state on business. Mrs. Morris Wilson is spending a few days in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Church, with their two children, LaVon and LaReta. spent a few days visiting in Logan, last week. Their chief purpose in going to Logan was to attend the graduating exercises at the A.C. At thesl exercises Mr. Church wore the cap and gown and received his diploma. Their son, Warren, who attended the first year of college there, returned home with them. Henry W. Gubler attended the quarterly conference at Salt Lake City, returning home Sunday night. The Misses Mary and Lasina Leavitt of Mesquite, Nev., were visitors of the past week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hardy. |
