Show Local News Items . . . Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Lawrence motored up from Las Vegas Sunday Sun-day evening, bringing Mrs. James Chadburn, mother of Mrs. Lawrence, Law-rence, who has been visiting them. Miss Mary Farris left Sunday for her home in Hinckley, after spending the past nine months in St. George attending the Dixie junior college. Beth Swain, Rupert Johnson and Earl Udahl, all of Phoenix, Ariz., were guests over Sunday night and Monday of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. McAllister, on their way home from attending L.D.S. conference in Salt Lake City. Miss Swain is a neice of the McAllisters. Postmaster and Mrs. William Brooks and family left early Tuesday Tues-day for Salt Lake City where Mr. Brooks will attend the State conference con-ference of Postmasters. Mrs. Sidney Kramer of Salt Lake City, niece of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hamilton of this city, with her friend, Carol Driggs of Phoenix were visitors at the Hamilton home Sunday and Monday. Mon-day. Mrs. Kramer will spend two weeks in Phoenix visiting her brother, Jay Wright and family. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cannon returned Sunday evening from attending at-tending the Bankers convention in Logan. Mrs. Vivian Spencer accompanied ac-companied them to visit her son and other relatives over the week end. Mrs. David Moss left for Los Angeles last Thursday to be with her son, David Jr. who is reported seriously ill following surgery. Mrs. Gerald Poole and little daughter, Joanne, left for their home in Hammond, Ind., after visiting in St. George for six weeks at the home of her mother, Mrs. Clara Larson. Rulon Whitehead has returned from Los Angeles where he has spent the past winter studying at the University of Southern California. |
