Show flit Cmtnchj Gail Case Mrs. Jack Fitzwater and children chil-dren returned to their home in Ogaen, fcSunday, after a visit with Mrs. Fitzwater's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Snow. Mrs. Wm. DeVries, of Ogden, spent last week with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case. On Friday she took her son, Robert, who makes his home with his grandparents, to Roosevelt Roos-evelt tor a tonsilectomy. Mr. De Vries, a member of the Army Reserve, has been called to ac-uve ac-uve seivice. Bishop Willard B. Mecham made a business trip to Salt Lake last week. Returning Friday, Fri-day, he was accompanied by his sister, Jean, a student at U. of (J., who spent the weekend here with her mother, ' Mrs. Ina Mecham. Bruce and Max Hartman left Friday for the Manti district to do some elk hunting. I ; Charles Brunyer, of Salt1 ' Lake, spent the weekend with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. 1 and Mrs. Fay Reay. Evan and Grant Hansen motored mo-tored to Richfield, Thursday, to take care of business matters. They returned Friday evening. Deane and Peggy Ann Case, B.Y.U. students, spent Saturday and Sunday at home. Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hartman were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Case, of Duchesne. Stake officers from Mt. Emmons Em-mons who attended ward conference con-ference in Upalco, Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ward, Mrs. Wm. R. Evans, Mrs. Glen Ames and Floyd Case. Mrs. Delmar Mecham and children visited in Salt Lake 1 last week with her mother, Mrs. . R. M. Brandon, and other rela-I rela-I tives. ! Dee Reay and Richard Orr, employed in Salt Lake, spent the weekend with home folks. M.rs. Leslie J. Orr is in Salt Lake visiting her daughters, Mrs. Peter Nielsen and Mrs. Arthur Case. Honoring the diamond jubilee of the founding of Brigham Young university, a program was given in the regular sacrament sacra-ment meeting Sunday afternoon, featuring appropriate music, talks and prayer by BYU students stu-dents and parents of students. Participating were Bishop Willard Will-ard B. Mecham, Grant Hansen, Wm. R. Evans, Mrs. Floyd Case land Peggy Ann Case. I The Explorers and Mia-Maids I held a fireside chat at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar H. Miles, Sunday evening. Bernice Bos-well Bos-well gave a talk on the life of Joseph Smith. A discussion on early church history followed, led by Mrs. Lawrence Ward. Refreshments were served to the group by Mrs. Miles and her daughter, Mona. |
