Show Local Automobile Dealers Plan Events For Next Week Parade, New Car Display, 5200 Gift Will Feature Wednesday Program Local car dealers will join dealers all over the nation next week, Oct. 22 to 28 intlusive. in observance of National Automobile Automo-bile Dealers Wetk, am wil feature a rurade, new car display, and will give $200.00 away to some lucKy pe -soi. who visits t.e parade or the display. ' According to "Hank" Swain, area chairman for the Uintah Basin, and chairman of the local committee, several radio programs pro-grams are being sponsored over KJAM in Vernal, and on Wednesday, Wednes-day, Oct. 25, beginning a 2 o'clock, a parade will pass in review on main street showing all late models of cars from each of the nine ,Rosevelt dealers. - - Following the parade the public pub-lic will have a chance to examine ex-amine the new cars and obtain information from any or all dealers;, when a display will be opened on the vacant lot on the corner of Main and Lagoon streets. All during the day on Wednesday Wed-nesday while the festivities are in progress tickets will be passed out, one to a person, and some lucky person during the day will receive a $200 certificate certifi-cate which can be applied on a new or a used car of his choice in Roosevelt. All nine dealers in the city are cooperating in the program and are planning special window win-dow displays and other attractions attrac-tions within their respective showrooms and shops. Dealers here include: Center Service Co.. Crumbo Motor Co., Labrum and Adams Motor Co., McKinlay Motor Co., Hollis G. Hullinger, Roosevelt Implement Co., Snow TVTnrhin Arv fn "FitTUfirali Trap. tor Co., and Uintah Motor Co. "We invite every man, woman and child in the Basin to join with us in our program during the week see our parade, examine ex-amine the new cars, and be present to see someone awarded award-ed the $200 gift. The winner, must be present when the award ' is made," Mr. Swain declared. "As local businessmen, we realize re-alize that we can prosper only as our city and the trade area we serve grow and prosper, and we want our fellow citizens to know that we appreciate their patronage and shall continually strive to be of service to our city. Naturally, we are proud of our new models, our modern facilities, equipment, parts and accessories, which enable us to provide local car and truck owners own-ers with the best products and services on the market today. "One of the main objectives of the community-wide program will be to make residents through out our trade area better acquainted ac-quainted with their retail automobile auto-mobile dealers and the services tlley provide," Mr. Swain said. "Nearly everyone is interested in automobiles and the new models are outstanding. Moreover, More-over, because of the record volume vol-ume of production and sales of new cars this year, new car dealers have ample stocks of excellent used cars that they have taken as "trade-ins" on new models. Everyone is invited invit-ed to inspect both the new models mod-els and the reconditioned better used cars now available to replace re-place the many ancient, unsafe jalopies that should have been retired years ago," Mr. Swain concluded. |
