Show Perhaps those gentlemen who, in San Francisco, on Sunday, wanted to tear down the American flag, were better posted than we think. They may have read of a recent celebrated case, where a whole people peo-ple under direction of their bosses have been in quasi rebellion against the Government for sixty years; who have on more than one. occasion insulted the flag, have been specially honored and indorsed by the Senate and President of the United States. Those gentlemen in San Francisco made only one mistake. They should have claimed that it was their religion that they desired to emphasize when they sought to . . ' ' J. . '' |
