Mr. Teets came to Salt Lake In 1898 and in a modest way opened a small department de-partment store on the west side of Main street between South Temple and First South street. It did not take the people ct Salt Lake long to discover that Teets was a bargain store, where every shopper got full value for his money'. Within two years Mr. Teets had to seek larger quarters. He moved down the street to 122 South Main, at which .number .num-ber he conducted - his store until the lease expired. For a few months he was forced to retire from business until a proper location could be secured. A little over a year ago he opened at 128 South State street. In the Orpheum hotel building. In the last year his business busi-ness has increased to such an extent that the quarters are entirely too small to accommodate ac-commodate his trade.. Next week he will move up the street a little, having secured the entire building build-ing at 114. 116 and 118 South State street. Four carloads of new goods are already In the basement of the new building with several more carloads of goods to arrive before the day of opening.
