Show HOUSE PASSES SIX BILLS, REFERS FOUR The following bills passed in the House yesterday: H. B. 152 (Marks) Relating to when and what cases attachment can issue. S. B. S (B. X. Smith) Relating to the practice of medicine and surgery in the State of Utah, and for the appointment of a board of medical examiners In the matter of said regulations. H. B. 151 (Marks) For the recording of future assignments and prescribing the errect inereor. H. B. 69 (Hone) Changing the eight-hour eight-hour law so as to apply to factories also. H. B. 242 (Richards) Providing a school library fund and also providing the means by which the fund shall be expended. ex-pended. . 8. B. 21 (Hollingsworth) Compelling contract for public improvements to go to lowest bidder and forbidding the adoption adop-tion of plans requiring a special Invention or patent. Other action was taken on the following follow-ing measures: H. B. 118 (Hanson) Relating to the Inspection, In-spection, of live stock shipments by the Sheriff. Reconsideration moved. 8. B. 28 (Benner X. Smith) Regulating the practice of osteopathy. Reconsideration Reconsidera-tion moved. H. B. 48 and H. B. 145. the Thompson consolidation bill, were placed at the foot of the calendar. A communication from the Governor announced that H. B. No. 227. had become be-come a law and been filed with the Secretary Secre-tary of State. The law relates to ore purchases and false assays of ore. The House received a communication from the Senate announcing the passage, of S. B. No. 124. Williams, which was referred to Buildings and Grounds committee. com-mittee. S. B. No. 122, by B. X. Smith, was referred to the Judiciary committee. By the consent of the House the following follow-ing bills were received in the House and referred: H. B. 282 (Joseph) Establishing a normal nor-mal branch of the Agricultural college In the central part of this State. (Education.) (Educa-tion.) H. B. 283 (Barnett)-Maklng an appropriation appro-priation for the improvement of .bridges in Juab county. (Highways.) H. B. 284 (Robinson) Relating to the assessment of net proceeds of mines and defining the duties of the 'Assessor and County Board of Equalization in relation thereto. H. B. 285 (Robinson) An appropriation for the Improvement of existing roads from the Bingham mines to the town of Bingham canyon. (Highways.) |
