Show CHICAGO PRODUCE. CHICAGO, March 6. The grain markets mar-kets today . showed - an almost complete reversal of sentiment from that prevailing prevail-ing at yesterday's close. Trading waa active ac-tive In all grains and prices were strong. The market opened strong for wheat, but prices went up quickly because of a falling fall-ing off In northwestern receipts, and the failure of the Liverpool market to respond to yesterday's decline here. May wheat opened unchanged to a shade lower -at TBI'S 761c sold at 76ft and advanced to 76R(gi76o. The corn market was active and prices were strong. Commission-houses and cash Interests were good buyers. May corn opened a shade lower to a shade higher at 46 U 46c and sold at 47o. An active demand by May shorts caused a sharp advance in oats Immediately Immedi-ately after the opening. May opened unchanged un-changed to c higher at 401 to 40c, and sold at 41J41c. A (-cent advance in the price of live hogs and the strength of grain caused a firm market for provisions. Trading was fairly active. May pork opened 7ftc higher at $16.20. Lard was unchanged at $9.45, and ribs were up 7c at $8,921. |
