Princeton lost the game at the very start of tho third poriod when Tlbbott muffed a punt and Way, the Yale tackle, scooped it. up and made the remaining 25 yards for tho touchdown without hindrance. Tho Tigers played play-ed desperately but Yale stopped ncarlv every forward pass. Just as tho game was closing Princeton with the ball on tho Ell's 8 yard lino tried a lateral pass, but bungled it so badly that Yale recovered it and the game was practically over.
