Show 'Americans Are Too Fast,' Says Visitor From India SOUTH BEND, IND. A newspaper news-paper woman from Lucknow, India, after a month's visit in the United States, says Americans Amer-icans are too fast, too selfish, too nervous and too greedy. Mrs. Rajlni C. Asrani, 34, subeditor sub-editor of the English language Lucknow Pioneer, visiting South Bend, also charged that Americans Amer-icans lack knowledge of other lands and lack peace of mind. The native of India said of New York City: "I got the impression of a throbbing and pulsating humanity. human-ity. . . . The high buildings towering tow-ering on both sides felt like the walls of a closed room. ... I had the strangest desire to run out and get a breath of fresh air." |
